Tips to harness the full moon energy

The energy of a full moon is tremendous and does alter our planet and all that lives on it. It is essential to feel calm and centred as everything is magnified, both positive and negative. When this energy is received with positive intention, you have the opportunity for huge mental, emotional, physical and spiritual growth. In the days leading up to a full moon and those after, it is important to remember everything is amplified. When it is a a super moon it can feel up to three fold. 

Unfortunately in our hospitals (in accident and emergency) and those in our police force often have to deal with more aggressive or violent incidents. By harnessing the energy of a full moon we can adjust what is/has been happening to ourselves. You must be in a calm state of mind to receive be able to have a positive effect. 

# Important Elements (leading up to, on the day and after a full moon)
➢ Peace
Avoid arguments, aggressive people or situations and try and keep yourself calm. 
➢ Manifest
Focus on what you want to bring in. Write a list, make a vision board or focus on it during mediation. See it, know and feel what it will be like to have this in your life. Then acton. 
➢ Balance
Meditation or yoga ( either alone or in a group), good food and lots of water. The moon affects the tides ( which is water) and we are made of lots of water as well.
➢ Kindness
Be kind to yourself first and then to others. 
➢ Positivity
Feel and act positive. Release what is no longer needed. Whether this is cleaning out  clutter from your home, removing unhealthy food from your pantry and exercising, deciding not to have people in you life that you have outgrown, or looking for that new job. Just deciding to do it and being positive about it makes a difference. Get up in the morning and "say "Today is going to be great!" and it will be better than it would have been if you did not say it. 
➢ Healing
Be open to receive healing from your Guides. Fill all levels of yourself with healing and then when you are full, send healing and blessings out to others as this will be magnified too. 

# On the night of the full moon
➢ Cleanse and Energise
Cleanse and energise your crystals, sacred tools or objects, vision board, dream lists and special clothing or jewellery. Place where it will be able to receive moonlight ( behind glass inside is fine). If it clouds over and you cannot see the moon, the energy is still the same as you have set the intent. 

➢ Take a moon bath
Open your curtains an allow the moons light to fill your bedroom. You can  move your mattress to the window or another room with large windows, to capture the moons energy directly on your body. If you are in a warm climate sleep outside under the stars  and moon.  If you have an outdoor pool, tub or live near a lake or beach; swimming or soaking in water under the moonlight is very powerful. I have done this many times myself. 

➢ Meditate with the moon
Meditate to receive the moons wisdom. It is very well worth meditating at the time of a full moon. This can be inside or outside, by yourself or in a group. I was part of group of 52 who meditated outdoors in the countryside  at the time of a full moon and it was very powerful. 

# Tips to feel calm and centred
Here are a few ways that work well to feel calm and centred. Meditation, yoga, sitting still with consistent calm breathing, laying or sitting outside hearing the sounds of nature, soaking in the bath,focusing on a mandala, picture that has lots of positive energy or leaves moving in a breeze, listening to gentle music and focusing on each different instrument or not. When tuning into you body, breath, sounds or visual it puts you in the now. Nothing else matters and you are filled with what you are focusing. Then keep yourself in that moment.

Tips to recharge your energy

Sometimes life can keep us so busy we forget about who we are and what we need to function productively as a spiritual being living a human life. It does not matter how long it has been since you looked after yourself, it is never too late to start the process of recharging your physical, mental and emotional body. With a good balance of these three elements first it allows you to concentrate on your spiritual body. Each step is important. There is no point in rushing ahead and painting your car a bright shiny colour if the body underneath has been prepared properly. Not only will you be unhappy with the paint job you will have to remove it and start over again, to achieve the look you want. 
  • PHYSICAL BODY
We are spiritual beings in a physical body. This physical body is merely a vessel while we are here on this earth plane. Imagine your physical body as a car. In order to perform well it needs to looked after and be kept tuned up with a full tank of petrol.  When you have all of the elements you need your car will run well and get you from A to B safely, with ease and give you an enjoyable ride. Your car will last longer and perform better with regular oil changes, charged up battery, water in your radiator, petrol in the fuel tank, reliable and efficient engine, the windows clean, not overloaded with excess weight and the tyres pumped up to the correct pressure for the type of car you are. 

If you aim to keep your physical body well rested, feed, watered and you give your body every thing it needs to run efficiently you will have a what is needed for a balanced body and mind. This will give you the foundational tools needed to invite calm and quiet inside of you. This stillness is the necessary element to open up your senses. It is difficult to meditate and connect if you are sleep deprived and exhausted, or you are full of heavy, processed food and wired on your third energy drink for the morning.

Keep your body well balanced. Good food, plenty of water, exercise and quality sleep. Allow yourself daily time to have some “me time.”
With the physical taken care of it will compliment the mental and emotional aspects of yourself.

  • MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL BALANCE
Life can throw all sorts of curve balls with work, relationships, financial and emotional pressures. We cannot control what happens around us with people, situations or events but we can control how we react. Our mental and emotional balance can be achieved by intent and vibration. By shifting our intentions and thoughts we can transform our life in a profound way. 

What do you really think about YOU? 

Your inner voice is the most powerful creator of YOU. Do you put yourself down or criticise yourself? Do you feel you are unlovable? Challenge each negative thought and replace it with love and positivity. Talk to your mental and emotional self as you would your own young child. Would you look into the face of your own three your old child and tell them they were not worthy? Of course not so don’t do that to yourself. YOU are your own best friend. Fill yourself with love, encouragement and support as you would with your own child. See and feel how your life changes when YOU support YOU.

Allow yourself time to unwind and recharge

Life can be chaotic and it can be difficult when you are multi-tasking every day. If you set your intention in the morning that there will be time for you to stop and recharge in your day – life wont feel so chaotic. You only need 15 minutes. Everyone can find 15 minutes a day to recharge. 

Connecting with nature is one of the most powerful and simplest ways to recharge. We all don’t have daily access to wide open spaces filled with magnificent trees, birds and flowers – and that doesn’t matter. Even if you live and work in the middle of a large city with the no greenery around you - all you need to see is the sky. It can be night or day as you are focusing your intent by connecting with nature. By walking, riding or playing at a park, beach or sports ground you are connecting with earth. By walking in nature you can reflect and connect.  

Recharge by doing what you love. It may be painting, dancing, getting your nails done, pottering in the garden or rebuilding a motor.  By following your passion and making time for it daily, you can rejuvenate and recharge yourself and have something to show for it.

  • POSITIVE ACTIONS TO GROUND AND FOCUS
Start first thing in the morning in your shower. As the water cascades down on you put your positive intention into the day. “I wash away all unwanted thoughts and behaviours and cleanse my mind, body and soul. I surround myself in golden love and light and I am protected and blessed throughout my day.” 

Change your thinking. Stuck in a traffic jam? Use the time to breathe in deep slowly. Relax your body. Think about what you are grateful for.  Sending out small intentions regularly throughout the day will increase your vibration.

  • OPENING YOUR SENSES
When you are physically, emotionally and mentally charged up your energy vibration is strong and consistent. This will allow stillness (calm and quiet) within. When meditating you can focus on opening your senses or you can bring in elements that will do that. Take music for example. We all have “that song” that we just cant moving our foot or body to the beat. Go on, find it on your tube and play it. Allow the music to flow through you. Your body will relax and your mind will slow a little. This little drop in the bucket of recharging adds up. About to have a coffee or tea? Go and sit outside (weather permitting) or find a window and quietly look outside. It doesn’t matter what the weather is, focus on the sky. The clouds. The sun or the rain.  Gentle allow your body to relax and allow the scene before you to calm  Little activities during the day can allow your senses to open more. It is just making the conscious effort to do it.  Life will seem a little more colorful and smoother. You will notice the way the sun shines through the leaves, you will have more spring in your step. There is a little more “contentment within.” 

These are my thoughts and this works for me to recharge myself. If you have read this far you have already started charging yourself up as the intent is there. Good on you.

What is spirituality ?

When I think of being spiritual it is focusing on the inside of life.It is peace and balance. It is being connected. It is love. It is a way of being and a way of knowing.  It is feeling. It is faith. It is contentment.  We are a soul. A spiritual, magnificent and beautiful soul. We are not just a physical body. We each have our own individual pathway. There is no "one size fits all." It is the breath of life and the essence of being.

Some think that to be spiritual you have to meditate 5 hours a day, only be vegan or have a strict set of rules that you must live by. There is no book of rules and regulations for all. We make our own. It is not a religion. Spirituality is a way of life. A choice. Spirituality fuels you.

Spirituality and spiritual wellbeing. Wether you call it your higher power, Source, the Devine, your God, your soul - it is all the same. A sense in your core of knowing, understanding, support, love, and contentment. Some see ethics and morality, or theological reflection. Some it is spiritual practices. It is the propelling force in your being.

For me it is making a choice to invite calm, balance, love and positivity into your life. A choice to live with your own values, wellbeing, growth and development. It is experiences. It is a way of being, a way of knowing. It is connecting with others. Spirituality is the breath in my lungs, the passion and love and my heart and the knowing and understanding in my soul.It is discovery of self. Acknowledgement of your truth. Your desires. 

Don't be afraid to embrace your own spirituality. Be true to YOU. Explore and grow on your own quest. It is your own interpretation that matters. Listen to YOU. Be the real YOU. Experience the real YOU.

Ribbon Readings

Ribbon Reading is an old Romany-Gypsy way to connect with people. It is an art of psychic reading through touch. Relax and focus and feel the textures and many colours of the ribbons. This transfers your energy. Then close your eyes and chose three to six ribbons. Each ribbon is unique, free flowing and expressive. Each colour represents an emotion, situation, healing or auraic energy. 


There are no set meanings to each individual ribbon. They are read by the individual as to what you perceive them to be.  This is done with touch and thoughts that enter your mind. It is what the colours mean to the person reading the ribbons. With many different colours and representations it depends on what the individual thinks.

It is best to use an assortment of colours. If you have two colours of each is better. One bold and one soft is ideal. Some people like to have two different textures as well. With any work when asking for guidance it is important to ask for protection and guidance. Sit quietly with your eyes closed and feel the ribbons. What is it you are seeking. Put the "intent" out there. Are you looking for healing colours for an aura? Are you looking to see what the situation is? What ever your intent is focus on that then allow your mind to quieten. Feel the ribbons.  I like to choose between three to six ribbons.

When reading the ribbons feel each one. Take your time and feel the texture of it. Is it rough or is it smooth? 
  • How does each ribbon feel? 
  • Do any emoticons, thoughts or feelings come to you? 
  • Do any sensations, smells or tastes come to you?
  • Do any pictures, colours or scenes come to your mind? If so what pictures do you see?

It is important to pass on anything you receive. No matter how small and coincidental. It may be relevant to the seeker.

Enjoy the session. You may receive lots of information or you may not. Just allow the thoughts to flow and enjoy.

Practice as often as you can, with your friends, family, tell them that you are just learning I am sure they will be more than willing to let you practice on them and you will find that you will soon be able to offer a ribbon reading with confidence.

I hope this has helped to give you some insights into Ribbon reading. Give it a try I am sure you will be amazed at what you pick up from them. 

Each colours meaning is unique.  Red can represent passion, temper, surrounded by anger, healing for the base chakra or high blood pressure. When practicing  focus on the colour and use all of your senses. Note what it means to you as a reader and take time to work at each colours meaning.

Spirit Guides

When talking about Spirit Guides, I refer to the advanced spiritual energies that teach, guide, create, heal or support us while on this journey on earth. I would like to share a little information on contacting your SPIRITUAL GUIDES.

Whilst on this earth plane, we are all spiritual energy beings living in a human physical body. We have Spiritual Guides, teachers, healers and protectors (or gatekeepers as I call mine), around us. Some of us are aware of these energies. They are with us for different purposes. As we progress through our life our Guides may change depending on what lessons we are learning. Our Spirit Guides come from the other side, the Realm of Spirit or Heaven. Use the language that you are comfortable with. It is all the same place.When teaching and during my readings I am constantly in contact with my Guides. I will explain today about some different types of Guides and offer some guidance in how to safely make contact with your own Guides.

Who or what is my Spirit Guide?  
We all have them. They are souls that lived on this earth plane. They choose to spiritually advance themselves and become Spirit Guides. Spirit Guides each have their own specialised area of expertise. Often in past lives they were in this career or life experience as well. A Spirit Guide will come into your life when an issue or guidance is needed under their “specialised field/area”. We attract new Spirit Guides as we grow and change. Their purpose is to offer guidance, support and help those living on this earth plane, including our animals.

What do my Guides look like?
Your Guide will choose to manifest themselves to you in any form they wish. This can be a human form, animal, shape, symbol, colour or object. Do not have any preconceived ideas and just allow your senses to open. We all would like to think we have some important religious figure or superstar but often this is not the case. Myself, most of my clients and students have simple human forms, animals colours and symbols. One of my students has a magnificent plum tree. 

Can anyone make contact with their Guides? 
You do not have to be psychic to connect to your Guides. All that is required is the desire to connect, patience and practice. You need to be able to quiet your thoughts and open your senses. Many of us make contact while we are asleep but cannot remember upon awakening. How often has the solution to your burning question been answered when you have awakened in the morning?

What type of Spirit Guides are there?
There are many different types. I believe we have between 3 and 7 around us most of the time but there are more in our outer circle. Here are just three. 
  • GATEKEEPER OR PROTECTOR
They help protect you spiritually, emotionally and physically. They allow energies around you from the       
highest good. If you are also faced with a difficult or hard situation they can offer you support. It is comforting to feel them near you. Your gatekeeper and healer can also help earthbound Spirits to “cross over’ if needed.
  • HEALING GUIDE                                        
This is a Guide that can offer you physical, emotional or spiritual healing. 
  • TEACHING GUIDE                                                             
Often your individual advanced talents and skills have their own Guide too. 

HOW DO I CONTACT MY SPIRIT GUIDES?
There are many different ways but I will take you through the process I use in my development circles. It is important in any development work you are feeling well and are in the right frame of mind. I recommend you use an experienced teacher to guide you or support person if this is new to you.For those that are more advanced in their development it is easier to make the connection as you have already developed some of your senses. Record all you receive, have a journal and pen ready, dictaphone or use voice record on your cell phone.

~ Create your physical space where you will not be disturbed. You may like to cleanse the area, use incense or set your mood with music. Some say a prayer or blessing. You must feel comfortable and relaxed and do what is right for YOU. 
~ Take yourself into a meditative state using techniques that work for you to relax your body, calm your mind and open your senses.               
~ Ask for a golden sphere of love, light, protection and healing come into your body filling your physical, emotional, spiritual levels and your entire auraic field.
~ Take yourself to a safe spiritual place where you have visited before in meditations, or ask to be taken to a sacred place. If you find it hard to visualise – once relaxed and filled with golden light, gaze into a flickering candle flame.          
~ Ask, either in your mind or out loud, for one of your Spirit Guides to move in closer to you. 
~Open all of your senses – seeing, hearing, and tasting, smelling, feeling and knowing.                                        
~ Your Guide may come to you as an image, thought, pattern or as feelings.  
 ~ Do they have a name? How old are they? What do they look like? What type of Guide are they? How long have they been with you?
~ Ask your Guide for any messages.  Ask for any gifts or advice. This may be an image that rushes into your mind and often is symbolic.                                 
~ Take your time and be aware to at the same time of your physical body, do you have tingling, pressure or other physical symptoms?
~ When you are ready you ask for your Guides to step back. Thank them for their information. Give them permission, if you desire, to help you remember any dreams when they contact you and to show you symbols or answers for your questions.                                                                                                                                                                                      
~ Ground yourself and bring yourself back into your physical body. Drink a glass of water.

Immediately write or record all of the information you have received. Please be patient as often you may only get a small snippet of guidance or information. It takes time to build a connection as they are on a higher vibration than us and I liken it to tuning a radio into a far away station. Over time you will build up a profile of your Guide and their relevance to you. As new Guides move in and others go it is a wonderful way to reflect on your journey. Please remember that may times in the beginning they will just make themselves known to you. They don’t give you a book with all of life’s answers. When they do give you a message, and they know you have understood it, it is celebrations all around. Sometimes we may get messages we did not expect but I believe we always receive the messages we need to hear.
