![]() The energy of a full moon is tremendous and does alter our planet and all that lives on it. It is essential to feel calm and centred as everything is magnified, both positive and negative. When this energy is received with positive intention, you have the opportunity for huge mental, emotional, physical and spiritual growth. In the days leading up to a full moon and those after, it is important to remember everything is amplified. When it is a a super moon it can feel up to three fold. Unfortunately in our hospitals (in accident and emergency) and those in our police force often have to deal with more aggressive or violent incidents. By harnessing the energy of a full moon we can adjust what is/has been happening to ourselves. You must be in a calm state of mind to receive be able to have a positive effect. # Important Elements (leading up to, on the day and after a full moon) ➢ Peace Avoid arguments, aggressive people or situations and try and keep yourself calm. ➢ Manifest Focus on what you want to bring in. Write a list, make a vision board or focus on it during mediation. See it, know and feel what it will be like to have this in your life. Then acton. ➢ Balance Meditation or yoga ( either alone or in a group), good food and lots of water. The moon affects the tides ( which is water) and we are made of lots of water as well. ➢ Kindness Be kind to yourself first and then to others. ➢ Positivity Feel and act positive. Release what is no longer needed. Whether this is cleaning out clutter from your home, removing unhealthy food from your pantry and exercising, deciding not to have people in you life that you have outgrown, or looking for that new job. Just deciding to do it and being positive about it makes a difference. Get up in the morning and "say "Today is going to be great!" and it will be better than it would have been if you did not say it. ➢ Healing Be open to receive healing from your Guides. Fill all levels of yourself with healing and then when you are full, send healing and blessings out to others as this will be magnified too. # On the night of the full moon ➢ Cleanse and Energise Cleanse and energise your crystals, sacred tools or objects, vision board, dream lists and special clothing or jewellery. Place where it will be able to receive moonlight ( behind glass inside is fine). If it clouds over and you cannot see the moon, the energy is still the same as you have set the intent. ➢ Take a moon bath Open your curtains an allow the moons light to fill your bedroom. You can move your mattress to the window or another room with large windows, to capture the moons energy directly on your body. If you are in a warm climate sleep outside under the stars and moon. If you have an outdoor pool, tub or live near a lake or beach; swimming or soaking in water under the moonlight is very powerful. I have done this many times myself. ➢ Meditate with the moon Meditate to receive the moons wisdom. It is very well worth meditating at the time of a full moon. This can be inside or outside, by yourself or in a group. I was part of group of 52 who meditated outdoors in the countryside at the time of a full moon and it was very powerful. # Tips to feel calm and centred Here are a few ways that work well to feel calm and centred. Meditation, yoga, sitting still with consistent calm breathing, laying or sitting outside hearing the sounds of nature, soaking in the bath,focusing on a mandala, picture that has lots of positive energy or leaves moving in a breeze, listening to gentle music and focusing on each different instrument or not. When tuning into you body, breath, sounds or visual it puts you in the now. Nothing else matters and you are filled with what you are focusing. Then keep yourself in that moment.
