Sometimes life can keep us so busy we forget about who we are and what we need to function productively as a spiritual being living a human life. It does not matter how long it has been since you looked after yourself, it is never too late to start the process of recharging your physical, mental and emotional body. With a good balance of these three elements first it allows you to concentrate on your spiritual body. Each step is important. There is no point in rushing ahead and painting your car a bright shiny colour if the body underneath has been prepared properly. Not only will you be unhappy with the paint job you will have to remove it and start over again, to achieve the look you want.
If you aim to keep your physical body well rested, feed, watered and you give your body every thing it needs to run efficiently you will have a what is needed for a balanced body and mind. This will give you the foundational tools needed to invite calm and quiet inside of you. This stillness is the necessary element to open up your senses. It is difficult to meditate and connect if you are sleep deprived and exhausted, or you are full of heavy, processed food and wired on your third energy drink for the morning.
Keep your body well balanced. Good food, plenty of water, exercise and quality sleep. Allow yourself daily time to have some “me time.”
With the physical taken care of it will compliment the mental and emotional aspects of yourself.
What do you really think about YOU?
Your inner voice is the most powerful creator of YOU. Do you put yourself down or criticise yourself? Do you feel you are unlovable? Challenge each negative thought and replace it with love and positivity. Talk to your mental and emotional self as you would your own young child. Would you look into the face of your own three your old child and tell them they were not worthy? Of course not so don’t do that to yourself. YOU are your own best friend. Fill yourself with love, encouragement and support as you would with your own child. See and feel how your life changes when YOU support YOU.
Allow yourself time to unwind and recharge
Life can be chaotic and it can be difficult when you are multi-tasking every day. If you set your intention in the morning that there will be time for you to stop and recharge in your day – life wont feel so chaotic. You only need 15 minutes. Everyone can find 15 minutes a day to recharge.
Connecting with nature is one of the most powerful and simplest ways to recharge. We all don’t have daily access to wide open spaces filled with magnificent trees, birds and flowers – and that doesn’t matter. Even if you live and work in the middle of a large city with the no greenery around you - all you need to see is the sky. It can be night or day as you are focusing your intent by connecting with nature. By walking, riding or playing at a park, beach or sports ground you are connecting with earth. By walking in nature you can reflect and connect.
Recharge by doing what you love. It may be painting, dancing, getting your nails done, pottering in the garden or rebuilding a motor. By following your passion and making time for it daily, you can rejuvenate and recharge yourself and have something to show for it.
Change your thinking. Stuck in a traffic jam? Use the time to breathe in deep slowly. Relax your body. Think about what you are grateful for. Sending out small intentions regularly throughout the day will increase your vibration.
These are my thoughts and this works for me to recharge myself. If you have read this far you have already started charging yourself up as the intent is there. Good on you.
